Our Story
When Richard Heard founded Heard Farms, Inc. in the late 90s, he wanted to start a business to receive waste water from Douglas County as well as our surrounding counties. His vision was to take a large negative impact on Oregon's rivers and landfills and 100% beneficially reuse this material in a way that benefits sustainable farming practices.
Since Heard Farms, Inc. has opened its doors, we are now able to take in 24,000,000 gallons of waste water and 4,100 tons of dewatered biosolids annually, which would otherwise end up in rivers and landfills without our facility.
